Until recently the children of Barham Village had to walk up to 2 miles to the neighbouring village of Claydon if they wanted to play on the nearest play area. Barham Parish Councillors, many who have young children or grandchildren of their own, decided to bring a play area to Barham.

The Chairman has called for an Extra Ordinary Parish Council Meeting,
the meeting will take place on TUESDAY 15TH FEBRUARY 2022, 7pm in Barham Church Hall.
All members of the public are most welcome to attend.

Barham Parish Council give thanks to BMSDC, SUEZ, Cllrs Whitehead &
Passmore for the grants received towards the new play equipment.

Highways is planning to cut back the declining Ash trees to ground level along C455 Sandy Lane, Barham
(from Barham Bridleway 003 to Hemingstone Footpath 002).
The works are programmed to take place between 17 and 18 January 2022,
working between 8.30am and 4pm each day.
The road will be closed to ensure that we can carry out our works safely.
We are delighted that the new play equipment is currently being installed on the
Kirby Rise green. A full ROSPA Health & Safety inspection will need to be carried
out on the new play equipment before it is safe to use. This should take place on
Friday 14th January 2022.
Highways Assurance is very kindly providing the fencing of the new play area and
the Parish Council express their thanks for this generous donation.
£2000.00 has recently been received from BMSDC Cllr John Whitehead and
Cllr Tim Passmore from their Locality Budget towards the new equipment.

The K2 Recovery vehicles moved out of the Barham Picnic Site this week, having used
the area to park their vehicles for the last 12 weeks. K2 Recovery has passed on its
thanks to the parish for allowing them to use the area.
December Parish Council meeting has been changed from Tuesday 7th December 2021 to
Monday 13th December 2021, 7.00pm, in Barham Church Hall
